At the age of 10, she was admitted to the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Theatre Academy.
In 2007, Jin Chen was successfully admitted to the Beijing Dance Academy to study folk dance.
She also participated in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Her acting career begun with a minor role in the martial arts (wuxia) drama on 2011 for Peacock Feather.
